MY JOURNEY TOWARDS VISUAL ART.

My journey towards art started when I was in class 1st and our mother teacher drew a Santa Clause on the board and asked us to draw in our drawing file. All my classmates got their drawings checked and I was still working on it. When they saw my drawing they were amazed. They took my drawing to get checked by the teacher. I got appreciated. This motivated me and inclined towards art. I always got good remarks in my art work and most of them displayed in the classroom. In class 8th there was a poster making competition at zonal level and I participated in it. There were only two positions and I got second position. I still remember, my drawing teacher hugged me with immense happiness and I also got appreciated by my principal ma'am. She gave me blessings for the future and also congratulated me for winning and representing the school. After that I got various opportunities to show my talent for instance, my science teacher asked me to draw diagrams various organs such as Heart, kidney and nephron before the class. I got appreciated for that drawing from my teacher and classmates. Meanwhile, I got another opportunity from my Social Science teacher to draw a map of India on the board, she also appreciated my work. All these opportunities motivated me to stay with art.

MY SKETCHING JOURNEY

My Sketching Journey started during summer camp, we had English spoken classes. I remember, it was the birthday of English teacher and I decided to gift her a sketch of her favourite actor. I didn't know how to do sketching so I scrolled YouTube and luckily I got a sketch of Shah Rukh Khan, her favourite actor and I sketched it, when I gave her that sketch, she got surprised and hugged me with joy. That day I decided to work on my Sketching skills and master it. I learnt by myself from You Tube sketching tutorial videos and gifted various portraits to my friends on their birthday.

           This was my first sketch.

During COVID, I practiced many sketches.

I tried animal sketch for the first time.

PAINTING JOURNEY

If I talk about my painting journey it all started after taking admission in D.El.Ed, where I participated in different activities and workshops. I joined the decoration committee under my art teacher. Where I learnt about how we can  choose right material for our art work and other alternative materials . I also learnt how to work in collaboration and groups. When I participated in workshops I learnt more about paintings and its types such as abstract painting, modern painting, kalamkari painting, charcoal painting, madhubani painting and many more. My art works got displayed at various spots in the institute. I got appreciated for my works.

I tried first time  Bani Thani  painting famous in Rajasthan .

Lord Ganesha Painting using acrylic paint.

I tried Boho painting on book mark.

Warli art using oil pastel colours.

Mandala art using fine nib marker.

Whether I chose art or art chose me?

We try a lot of things but we feel connected to only certain things of for which we get more opportunities and we succeed in doing those things or we can say we are destined to do those  things. As in my case I tried a lot of things like music , cooking,  yoga , gardening,  and art , but I felt more connected with art. It doesn't mean that I totally left those things , I still practice them as well. As a beginner I faced a lot of difficulty such as I didn't have good art materials and tutor . I learnt through encouragement that I got from my teachers and my friends. When I do any art , I feel very happy and contended. Now it has become a part of my life.
